C.R. England recently signed its 1,000th lease contract.
C.R. England, which signed the landmark lease on July 19, started the program in 1997. Through the “Golden Opportunity Leasing Program,” the trucking company will lease a top-of-the-line, upscale conventional truck with no credit checks and without the typical $9,000-$10,000 down payment.
The short-term lease program allows drivers to test-drive being an independent carrier with the option to cancel after six months. If the driver doesn’t like leasing, they can cancel and just walk away or join C.R. England’s work force as a company driver.
