K. Colin Robertson of Lincoln, Neb., a Crete Carrier driver, is the winner of the Truckload Carriers Association’s eighth annual Truck Driver Photo Contest.

Robertson’s winning photo shows his red and white Crete truck in front of a fall landscape capped by a vivid blue sky. The color contrast between the truck and its surroundings impressed the judges. Robertson will receive a check for $1,000.

The contest recognizes professional drivers who also are amateur photographers.

Second place and $750 went to Dean Coffman of Bellingham, Wash., who drives for Holland Enterprises of Fargo, N.D. He took a photo of a local landmark in Groom, Texas, one of the largest crosses in the world.

Third place and $500 went to Sandy von Cords, a driver for Western Distributing Transportation of Denver. Her photo shows a sunset reflected in her truck mirror.
