CFI names drivers of the month

Truckload carrier CFI has announced its monthly driver award recipients for August 2005:

  • Company Driver of the Month: Richard Norman, who started driving for CFI in 1994;
  • Company Team of the Month: Mark and Peggy Dahlberg of Neosho, Mo., who began driving for CFI in 2002;
  • Contractor Driver of the Month: Ronald Crewe, who began his career with CFI in 1999; and
  • Contractor Team of the Month: Robert and Cecilia Wallraven of Clarksville, Tenn., who began driving for CFI in 1998.
  • As the August 2005 winners, each driver and team is nominated automatically for the 2005 yearend award in their respective category. All full-time over-the-road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible. Additional qualifications are as follows:

  • Received no moving violations in the previous 12 months;
  • Involved in no accidents in the previous 12 months; and
  • Received no out-of-service violations through state/federal inspections in the previous 12 months.
  • Joplin, Mo.-based CFI, founded in 1951, operates more than 2,300 tractors and 7,300 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. The carrier also interlines with Mexican fleets at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico.
