CFI names drivers of the month

Truckload carrier CFI has announced its monthly driver award recipients for August 2005:

Company Driver of the Month: Richard Norman, who started driving for CFI in 1994;

Company Team of the Month: Mark and Peggy Dahlberg of Neosho, Mo., who began driving for CFI in 2002;

Contractor Driver of the Month: Ronald Crewe, who began his career with CFI in 1999; and

Contractor Team of the Month: Robert and Cecilia Wallraven of Clarksville, Tenn., who began driving for CFI in 1998.

As the August 2005 winners, each driver and team is nominated automatically for the 2005 yearend award in their respective category. All full-time over-the-road drivers who have been certified as a driver at CFI for one year are eligible. Additional qualifications are as follows:

Received no moving violations in the previous 12 months;

Involved in no accidents in the previous 12 months; and

Received no out-of-service violations through state/federal inspections in the previous 12 months.

Joplin, Mo.-based CFI, founded in 1951, operates more than 2,300 tractors and 7,300 trailers and transports a variety of goods throughout the contiguous United States and Canada. The carrier also interlines with Mexican fleets at various border crossings to provide through-trailer service to Mexico.
