Tripmaster Corp. has joined the Intermec Technologies Honours Partner Program to integrate its technology and vertical market knowledge with Intermec’s product line for the trucking industry.

Tripmaster is a developer of onboard computer (OBC) technology providing operational, analytical and regulatory data and reports to help fleet owners manage their equipment and drivers at peak efficiency. Tripmaster, through its Windows-CE Application Program Interface (API), provides drivers access to Tripmaster applications through Intermec’s Portable Data Terminals (PDTs).

The Tripmaster XML API also allows Tripmaster applications to be displayed and integrated with third-party software applications (e.g., proof of delivery, point of sale, dispatch) on a single Windows-CE device. Tripmaster’s standards-based software enables customers to use Intermec’s touchscreen driver interface and maximize the investment in multiple business-critical applications.

Arlington, Texas-based Tripmaster will offer Intermec products and services to provide integrated telematics and mobile computing solutions for private and specialized fleets. Currently, Tripmaster interfaces to the Intermec 761 mobile computer and will add the Intermec pocket-sized model CN2 in 2006.

“Through the Intermec partnership, we can offer more options to our customers that include different peripheral devices and integration with other software vendors,” says Rich Geib, president of Tripmaster. “We are pleased to be working with Intermec, who is a leader in developing ruggedized, handheld devices and in collaborating with technology partners to provide customer solutions.”
