Liftgate manufacturer Waltco Truck Equipment Co. has introduced its Waltco Direct Lift (WDL) Ultra Series (US) rail-type liftgate.

According to the company, the WDL US comes in steel or aluminum platform models and carries the same rugged dependability, superior design and reduced maintenance requirements as the original WDL series, while incorporating several new features, including:

“By simplifying the components, the WDL US liftgate is easier to use and more dependable,” says Rod Robinson, Waltco president. “This reduces the likelihood of downtime for drivers and also reduces overall costs for the customer. In addition, we’ve taken significant weight out of the unit, while maintaining the strength and structure, which means additional payload per vehicle.”

The WDL Ultra Series offers models in four weight capacities: 3,500 pounds, 4,500 pounds, 5,500 pounds and 6,600 pounds.

Based in Tallmadge, Ohio, Waltco has manufacturing operations in Tallmadge and Gardena, Calif.; and warehouses in Dallas, Gardena and Marietta, Ga.
