Thermo King’s TriPac APU offers 1,000-hour maintenance interval

Thermo King has announced that its TriPac Auxiliary Heating/Cooling Temperature Management System now offers a 1,000-hour maintenance interval.

The TriPac is an APU unit designed to provide drivers with bunk heat, engine pre-heat, air conditioning, accessory power and battery charging while reducing idling and conserving fuel. Since idle time is reduced, wear and tear on the truck engine also can be reduced.

With its 1,000-hour maintenance interval, TriPac maintenance can be performed at the same time as maintenance on the tractor, saving time and eliminating additional downtime for APU maintenance. Thermo King says actual maintenance intervals on the TriPac can be extended further when the auto start/stop function is taken into account: This feature turns the TriPac on only when needed, saving fuel and reducing the number of hours the unit runs.

TriPac can be serviced at any of the 200-plus Thermo King dealers nationwide, no matter where the unit was purchased. Service is consistent at all locations and performed by factory-trained professionals.

Information about TriPac can be found at Thermo King dealerships nationwide or by going to www.thermoking.com.
