Distribution Technologies, a Ohio-based liquid bulk carrier, has opened a terminal in Greensboro, N.C., with plans for future growth. The firm is leasing space on Industrial Avenue in Greensboro, but Craig Cullinan, the company’s vice president of sales and marketing, says it likely will move into larger space and possibly buy a facility as it grows its business in the area.

The company chose Greensboro for a terminal in part to better serve Degussa Stockhausen, one of its clients. Distribution Technologies has hired a terminal manager as well as six drivers in Greensboro, Cullinan says, and is looking for additional qualified haulers. The company will try to recruit drivers by promising them shorter trips of about 500 to 750 miles.

Distribution Technologies also recently opened a facility in Phoenix, giving it 28 terminals across the country. The Greensboro facility is the only one between Ohio and Georgia.
