Swift Transportation has appointed Mark Young to the position of executive vice president of Swift Intermodal. Young replaces Dan Beers, who has accepted a position with another company.
Young has served as vice president of Swift Intermodal for the past year and has a combined 25 years of experience in the transportation industry with ABF Freight Systems, CSX Intermodal and Hub Group.
“Our intermodal strategy remains on track, and we are moving forward with Mark Young as our new executive vice president,” says Robert Cunningham, chief executive officer and president of Phoenix-based Swift. “The first of our 1,500 new containers are arriving at the Port of Los Angeles this week, and we continue to bring the containers from BNSF into our system as previously planned.”
