The Tire Retread Information Bureau has arranged for a special one-hour segment devoted to truck alignment on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Channel 147, the Sirius Trucking Network. The special will air live on STN’s “The Open Road Café” on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 10 to 11 a.m. Eastern Time.

TRIB Managing Director Harvey Brodsky will moderate the broadcast along with “Open Road Café” host Mark Willis and producer Elizabeth Walsh. Participating in the program will be technical specialists from several of the major tire manufacturers — Bridgestone / Firestone, Michelin and Yokohama — and a representative from retreader Central Tire Corp. in Virginia. Brodsky says that TRIB “has brought together for the show a group of people with profound knowledge and experience with truck alignment as part of its continuing effort to promote tire retreading, repairing and maintenance.”

Truckers are invited to call with questions relating to vehicle alignment and its impact on tire life, fuel economy, ride and handling. They will be able to speak directly to the show’s participants. “The program will give our listeners an opportunity to gain more knowledge about vehicle alignment,” Willis says. “Plus, listeners will have a chance to discuss their particular issues and questions on alignment directly with the experts.” To be a part of the one-hour special, truckers should phone “The Open Road Café” at 888-782-5966 on Wednesday, Nov. 30, starting shortly from 10 a.m.

TRIB has begun its fourth year as a weekly contributor to STN. “The Open Road Café,” which is recorded and repeated several times until the next live broadcast, airs throughout the United States and in parts of Canada. ” ‘The Open Road Café’ is the only all-in-one news and information morning program specifically for the trucking community,” Brodsky says. Frequent topics include tire retreading, tire repairing and the importance of proper tire maintenance for all tires.
