Saia has announced that the company’s terminal in Nashville, Tenn. has moved to a larger facility due to growth in the region and the need for additional doors and square footage to service customers.

The terminal move gives the Duluth, Ga.-based less-than-truckload carrier extended service opportunities in its southeastern U.S. markets. The new Nashville terminal will have 116 doors, adding 50 more than the former terminal. The facility will have 51,000 square feet of dock space, 8,500 square feet of office space and a 9,000-square-foot shop and shop office.

The address and contact numbers for the new Nashville terminal is: 1625 Corporate Place, La Vergne, TN 37086; phone, 615-641-6690; and fax, 615-501-6810. Scott McFetters, who has been with Saia for nine years, is terminal manager at the facility.

“The new Nashville terminal will continue to provide best-in-class service to our customers,” says Rick O’Dell, Saia president and chief executive officer. “The terminal relocation in this market builds on our commitment to upgrading and expanding service facilities around the country to accommodate growth.”
