SML names Driver of the Month, announces Northeast incentive

Sitton Motor Lines’ Driver of the Month for August 2005 is Michael Raymond, a company driver from Kentwood, La. who has been with the carrier since December 2003. As Driver of the Month, Raymond will receive an embroidered jacket, a savings bond, a certificate and a choice of other gifts. Raymond now is eligible for the Driver of the Year honor.

Runners-up for the award include company drivers Tim McDaniel of Shamrock, Okla., and Charlie Russell of Sparta, Mo.; team drivers Anthony and Dianna Williams of Neosho, Mo.; and owner-operator Jason Ray of Neosho. The runners-up also can be named Driver of the Year.

The Joplin, Mo.-based carrier also announced a monetary incentive for company drivers hauling in the Northeast region; drivers can earn an extra five cents per mile when they run in that area of the country.
