McLeod Software — a provider of dispatch and accounting transportation management software to the trucking industry — was named among the top three technology companies of those nominated for the 2005 Alabama Information Technology Association (AITA) Leadership in Technology Awards, Small Company Category.

The AITA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to advancing information technology and promoting IT businesses in Alabama. The AITA selected winners based on financial strength and overall success. McLeod Software was selected as one of the three top finalists, among 28 technology companies nominated in its category. McLeod was presented with a plaque at the AITA Annual Awards Banquet held in October.

“Our company is pleased to be recognized as one of the top Alabama-based technology companies,” says Tom McLeod, president and CEO of Birmingham-based McLeod Software. “The award is a testament to our dedicated group of talented employees and the loyal support of an expanding customer base.”
