The Arizona Trucking Association has announced the election of its 2006-2007 officers.
Named as chairman of the board was Larry Woolson, regional manager for System Transport, a nationwide flatbed and specialized carrier. System Transport is one of the four companies that comprise Spokane, Wash.-based Trans-System Inc.
Named vice chairman was David Williams, vice president of Knight Transportation. The new treasurer is Collin Stewart, president of Stewart Transport. Both companies are based in Phoenix.
The 300-member Arizona Trucking Association, which was incorporated as a nonprofit trade organization in 1937, represents trucking and supplier companies operating in Arizona and is based in Phoenix. Karen Rasmussen serves as president and chief executive officer.
