McLeod Software has announced a new interface with SkyBitz trailer-tracking software. SkyBitz’s Global Locating System joins an extensive list of trailer-tracking interface options for McLeod’s LoadMaster enterprise transportation management solutions.
McLeod Software will use the SkyBitz trailer-tracking system to allow customers to track powered and unpowered assets, reducing capital expenditures through lost or stolen trailers and optimizing trailer utilization. The interface also allows carriers to improve their customer service and increase detention billing to troublesome customers.
Features of the SkyBitz interface include updating new trailer positions by request; calculating estimated time of arrival; information for a current load; and monitoring and searching for trailers by ID mumber, group or location.
“We are pleased to welcome SkyBitz as a business partner,” says Rick Halbrooks, vice president sales and marketing for McLeod. “The integration of the trailer-tracking data provided by SkyBitz’s GLS technology into LoadMaster gives our customers yet another option for increased efficiencies, profitability and asset utilization.”
