AmeriQuest Transportation and Logistics Resources has named David Nitzsche vice president of supply management, responsible for helping AmeriQuest provide increased value to participants through competitive procurement programs.
Nitzsche has 25 years of experience in driving supply management solutions. He most recently was group director of supply management for Ryder System: During his 12-year career there, he was responsible for all supplier relations, including ownership of all vehicle power, body, trailer, refrigeration, parts and component purchasing. His focus was on cost reduction, improving cycle times and managing supplier performance.
“David’s decision to join the AmeriQuest team has afforded us the benefit of adding a talent that is regarded by the supplier community as one of a small group of individuals who can be described as knowledgeable, professional and a leader in the truck leasing industry,” says Doug Clark, president and chief executive officer of Cherry Hill, N.J.-based AmeriQuest.
Nitzsche will work with Jim Guice, Jim Sweeney and Jim Russo. “AmeriQuest’s strength is in its participants, and I am honored to be a member of such an elite fraternity of truck leasing professionals,” Nitzsche says. “AmeriQuest offers a unique business model, and I believe it is our industry’s future.”
