Gov. Edward Rendell of Pennsylvania recently announced grants to support two Philadelphia projects to reduce truck idling.

State Energy Harvest Grants will provide $107,000 to Philadelphia’s Clean Air Council to fit 20 truck parking places with Shurepower electrification units; and $63,000 to install auxiliary power units in 23 trucks owned by Cardone Industries, a manufacturer of motor vehicle parts.
