Transportation Technical Services has released the 2006 edition of The National Motor Carrier Directory, a FleetSeek database and print edition of contact information and fleet demographics on for-hire trucking companies. Included are companies that haul building materials, packages, general freight, refrigerated liquids and solids. All companies in the NMCD have two or more trucks and/or tractors.
Subscribers receive a 1,809-page print edition of the directory and a 12-month subscription to the NMCD component of FleetSeek. The subscription allows unlimited access to more than 55,000 motor carriers, where subscribers can view, sort, select and print detailed fleet profiles over the Internet. The cost if $495, plus $12 shipping and handling. An additional option is the ability to download the whole NMCD file to a computer hard drive or acquire selected records, allowing import into other software or contact management programs, aiding telemarketing and mailbag campaigns.
FleetSeek selection criteria include company, DOT or MCN number, city, county, state, ZIP Code or range of ZIPs, total fleets, number of trucks, number of tractors and trailers, trailer type, fleet type, industry group, SIC code, GVW, TL/LTL, safety rating and more. Selection fields can be used separately or in combination. Selected carriers can be sorted a number of different ways and printed as thumbnail sketches or detailed fleet profiles.
Additions, enhancements and deletions to the FleetSeek files are made continuously, and uploads are made at least once every 72 hours. Customers are entitled to all changes to their subscription files at no additional cost. For more information, go to www.ttstrucks.com.
