New Century raises driver pay, benefits

New Century Transportation Inc. has increased its pay for over-the-road drivers to 50.5 cents per mile. The new rate targets over-the-road drivers with at least 12 years of truck-driving experience. Additionally, the company’s LTL division pays over-the-road and regional drivers $15 for each LTL delivery and pickup.

Over-the-road drivers with minimum experience will start at 42.7 cents per mile, plus $15 per stop. New England regional drivers are paid 56 cents per mile, plus $15 per stop. Teams split 52.5-cent per mile and $15 per-stop pay.
