Less-than-truckload carrier Saia has announced that Delbert Bryer has been promoted to region manager of the Houston region, and that Trey Mauldin has been promoted to regional sales manager of the Dallas region.

Bryer will manage operations in the carrier’s Louisiana terminals in Alexandria, Lafayette and Lake Charles; and its Texas terminals in Austin, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, Harlingen, Houston, Laredo, San Antonio and Victoria. He has 31 years of transportation industry experience and has been with Saia for a decade, where he served most recently as terminal manager of the Houston facility.

Mauldin will manage sales in the carrier’s Texas terminals in Abilene, Dallas-Fort Worth, Garland, Sherman, Tyler, Waco and Wichita Falls; and its Fort Smith, Ark. terminals. He has 15 years of transportation industry experience and has been with Saia for nearly 12 years, where he was most recently region manager of the Portland, Ore. region.

“Both Delbert and Trey bring a wealth of skills and experience to the regional sales and operations management teams,” says Tony Albanese, senior vice president of operations and sales for Duluth, Ga.-based Saia. “Our Dallas and Houston regions are among the largest and most profitable in the company, and with these two in charge of terminal operations and sales, we look forward to continued growth and success in the regions.”
