GEOCOMtms, a global provider of fleet management solutions for local pickup and delivery operations, has announced that CDC Systems, a privately held armored transportation provider, has selected A.Maze Planning, an advanced dispatch planning tool, to optimize daily routing and scheduling.

CDC Systems is one of the Northeast’s leading providers of armored transportation. The company provides a wide range of services, including secure logistics, currency replenishment and deposit processing. CDC currently operates more than 200 vehicles and serves customers in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania from four regional facilities.

“At CDC Systems, we pride ourselves on the reliability, dependability and integrity of service we deliver to our customers,” says Vince Modarelli, president and chief executive officer of CDC Systems. “They depend on us to provide the coin and currency they need for day-to-day operations. That means most of our stops are time-critical. So daily route plans have to meet strict time windows, or they just won’t work. At the same time, we have to operate efficiently and carefully manage transportation costs. We selected A.Maze Planning because it was the only tool designed for the way our business works, and because it produced the best results of all the software we evaluated.”

A.Maze Planning, a fully integrated component of GEOCOMtms’ A.Maze Fleet Management solution, is designed to automate the task of building loads, sequencing and scheduling stops, and designing routes. Specifically developed for time-sensitive pickup and delivery environments, A.Maze incorporates sophisticated optimization technology, making it possible to process and analyze a virtually limitless number of routing combinations, according to GEOCOMtms.

“GEOCOMtms is focused on helping our customers reduce transportation costs without impacting the quality of service they provide,” says Michael Nark, president and chief executive officer of Atlanta-based GEOCOMtms. “This is an important goal for all fleet operators, but in situations where every stop is time-critical, it can be difficult to accomplish. A.Maze Planning was specifically designed for this type of environment. We’re pleased that CDC Systems recognizes our ability to address challenges unique to the armored car industry.”
