Truck-Lite recently announced the purchase of Flexible Lamps of Harlow, England, a manufacturer of incandescent and LED lighting for the commercial vehicle market under the Rubbolite and FL brand names. Terms of the acquisition were not announced.
Founded in 1924, Flexible Lamps employs about 600 people in three manufacturing and distribution facilities in England and France. Its major customers include Volvo, DaimlerChrysler, Scania, Ford, GM, Partco and SDC. In 2005, Flexible Lamps’ sales were more than $50 million.
