Renovations cut into Mid-America Trucking Show exhibit space

Organizers of the annual Mid-America Trucking Show have announced that indoor exhibit space for the 2007 event will be cut by 25 percent because of renovations being made to the East Wing of the Kentucky Exposition Center. The East Wing, portions of the East Hall Lobby and the East Courtyard will not be available for exhibits, organizers have warned.

“This is a very large percentage considering the ever-increasing demand for exhibit space at our show,” organizers said in a press release. For exhibitors who resided in those areas for the 2006 show, MATS planners say they are working to develop alternative solutions for this year’s event, scheduled for March 22-24.

“The harsh reality is that even with the cooperation of all companies being displaced, as well as those exhibitors whose exhibit space is not directly affected by the construction, it is going to be extremely difficult to accommodate all of our previous-year exhibitors for the 2007 show,” MATS organizers warned in the press statement. “We hope that everyone will bear with us as we do everything in our power to accommodate those being displaced and to ensure that the show has another outstanding year.”
