Volvo Trucks’ New River Valley plant in Dublin, Va., recently reached an historic milestone with the production of its 50,000th truck for 2006, the first time the plant has reached that level of production in a single year. The 50,000th truck, a Volvo VN 780, drove off the end of the production line during the plant’s second shift on Dec. 21.
