Ridewell raising money for food bank

Ridewell Corp. — a provider of Class 8 suspensions for companies such as Kenworth, Mack and Peterbilt — is joining the Rotary Clubs of Springfield, Mo., to raise money for a Mobile Food Pantry.

In the past four years, Ozarks Food Harvest, a local food bank, has experienced a 44 percent increase in the number of people requesting food assistance from its 300 member charities. Its planned Mobile Food Pantry will distribute food wherever it is needed, without recipients having to report to a building.

Ridewell, based in Springfield, and the Rotarians have committed to raising the money to buy two trucks and pay all expenses for their first year of operation.
