Hickerson to lead FFE’s dry van division

FFE Transportation Services announced Monday, Jan. 15, that John T. Hickerson has joined the company as division president of American Eagle Lines, the company’s 500-truck dry truckload fleet. Hickerson also will lead FFE’s freight brokerage operation.

“We are fortunate to have brought to our team such a seasoned veteran with an extensive background in our industry,” says Stoney M. Stubbs, president and chief executive officer of Dallas-based FFE. “John has proven his ability to successfully lead diverse organizations, and we look forward to the success we know he will have with Eagle.”

Prior to joining American Eagle, Hickerson served as chairman and CEO of Pacer Transport, a division of Pacer International; vice president of domestic intermodal for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway; and president of Roadway Next Day. He also spent 22 years in the CF/Con-Way family of companies, most recently as founding president and CEO of Con-Way Southern Express.

Hickerson is active in the American Trucking Associations, where he has served as vice president for Texas. He also is a past chairman of the Texas Motor Transportation Association and is a past board member of the Texas Chamber of Commerce.
