Red Dot has unveiled a new look that includes the first significant redesign of the company’s logo in nearly 40 years. The supplier of climate control solutions for commercial vehicles says the change reflects new capabilities; in recent years, the company has expanded globally, strengthening its presence in construction, off-highway and military markets.

The new logo is a simple red black circle being eclipsed by a rising red circle. “We felt it was the right time to make our logo reflect the company’s evolution as a global provider of mobile heating and air conditioning,” says Randy Gardiner, president and chief executive officer of Seattle-based Red Dot.

Gardiner says the circular shape represents Red Dot’s ability to provide all-encompassing solutions to its customers: The emerging dot symbolizes the sunrise and the company’s growth in global markets, the symmetry signifies stability and reliability, while the overall simplicity reflects Red Dot’s straightforward approach to its business dealings.

To further communicate Red Dot’s mission, the company has adopted the phrase, “We create and deliver innovative climate control solutions” as its corporate mission statement. “The Red Dot brand is one of the most trusted and recognized in the mobile heating and air conditioning market,” Gardiner says. “Our logo may have changed, but our heritage, core values and customer focus continue to drive everything we do here.”
