Better Biodiesel, a producer of biodiesel fuel using its proprietary biodiesel manufacturing technology, announced today, Jan. 18, that it has made its first commercial shipment of ASTM-D6751-standard biodiesel fuel to heavy hauling trucker Christensen Brothers of Spanish Fork, Utah.

“Christensen Brothers is pleased with the performance and attributes of the company’s fuel, including its potential to lower maintenance costs and enhance the longevity of its engines and equipment,” says Lew Christensen, chief executive officer of Christensen Brothers. “We are excited about the renewable energy characteristics and lower emissions associated with biodiesel fuel and the prospect of helping to reduce dependence on petroleum-based fuel in the United States.”

“This marks Better Biodiesel’s first association with a heavy hauling trucking company,” says Ron Crafts, chairman and CEO for the Salt Lake City-based company. “We look forward to establishing a lasting commercial relationship with Christensen Brothers. Better Biodiesel’s philosophy is to become the most profitable biodiesel fuel producer with the lowest environmental impact.

“By offering customers like Christensen Brothers the highest quality and consistency of biodiesel fuel, we believe our customers will reduce their transportation costs and increase the prolonged existence of their equipment,” Crafts says. “Coupled with the byproduct of decreasing foreign oil dependency, we believe that Better Biodiesel is positioned to become a significant part of the answer to our alternative fuel demands in the foreseeable future.”
