Decker names Drivers of the Month

Decker Truck Line, based in Fort Dodge, Iowa, has announced that Mike Juhl has been selected as the January 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Month for the flatbed division. Juhl, who has been at Decker for four years, resides in Somers, Iowa.

Selected as Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Rodney Knapp, who has been with Decker for 16 years. For the last three years, he has been one of a group of three drivers that hauls animal pharmaceutical products on a dedicated route. Knapp lives in Charles City, Iowa.

Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher, and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators who are selected as a Driver of the Month will be eligible to be chosen as Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
