The Holland Group has announced that Ken Hurst has accepted the position of vice president of operations for Holland USA. Hurst will direct and develop Holland USA’s operations teams to improve utilization of assets and further Holland’s commitment to lean manufacturing initiatives.
Hurst has more than 21 years of combined experience in operations management and lean manufacturing. Most recently, he was vice president of operations for Benteler Automotive Corp. Previously, Hurst held other senior level operations positions with Benteler and GKN Automotive. He also has held various engineering and management positions with other automotive and manufacturing organizations.
The Holland Group designs, manufactures and distributes components, systems and services to the transportation industry. Holland specializes in products for coupling, lifting and suspension systems for trucks, buses, tractors and trailers. These products include fifth wheels, landing gear, air and mechanical suspensions, kingpins, pintle hooks, drawbars, couplers, liftgates and roll formed components. They are sold under the Holland brand name from Holland’s locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Japan, China, Malaysia and Thailand.
