GE Commercial Finance Fleet Services says it is the first in the fleet industry to offer a telematics product that combines both asset optimization with mobile work force productivity. GE says its mobile work force productivity product is integrated with its vehicle optimization functionality and includes real-time dispatch management, territory and multi-day planning, and customer appointment and daily resource scheduling.

This combined telematics solution can help companies increase the profitability of their service and delivery operations, reduce vehicle fleet operating costs and decrease risk related to field assets, according to GE Fleet Services.

“Customers utilizing GE’s mobile work force productivity components report average savings of $500 to $1,000 per technician each month, and operational efficiency gains of 15 percent to 25 percent,” said Brian Wright, senior vice president of Eden Prairie, Minn.-based GE Fleet Services.

GE’s Telematics Services product is designed to unite real-time vehicle performance data with existing fleetwide information through its my.Dashboard Web-based analytical and reporting tool offered to customers. Customers have access to all their vehicle and people-related information in one place to get at the key factors impacting their company’s operating costs and service delivery, according to GE Fleet Services.
