Meridian IQ, a subsidiary of YRC Worldwide, announced on Thursday, March 15, that it has named John Carr to the newly created position of president, Americas and Europe. Carr will be responsible for operations of all business units in these geographies and will report directly to Jim Ritchie, president and chief executive officer of Meridian IQ.
Carr will be based at the Meridian IQ corporate office in Overland Park, Kan. “John will be a tremendous asset to the Meridian IQ leadership team,” Ritchie says. “He comes to us with over 25 years of experience in the global logistics arena, and we are pleased to welcome him to our organization.”
Carr most recently was president of global supply chain management at BAX Global, where he primarily was involved in the development and execution of supply chain solutions for leading global organizations. He previously has held executive management positions with Fritz Companies, Geologistics, Pandair and Behring International, at which time he lived in the Middle East for six years.
