Ford showcases new 2008 E-Series, F-450 pickup

At the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., on Thursday, March 22, Ford showed the truck media its current truck and van models, including the most recent new offering, the 2008 E-Series vans and cutaways.

The E-Series has been the industry’s best-selling van since 1979, but the 2008 edition offers some new features reminiscent of the company’s leading “Super Duty” truck family. New features include:

  • A freshened front end, including a new grille, fascia, headlamps and front bumper;
  • Increased GVWRs on E-350 and E-450 Super Duty cutaways;
  • All-new brake system and steering system improvements on all models;
  • New options on commercial vans, including a patent-pending rear- and side-door E-Guard Cargo Protection System and dome/cargo light; and
  • Optional traction control on all gas applications and standard tire pressure monitoring.
  • Ford’s booth at MATS features the company’s latest model in the F-Series – the F-450 Super Duty.
