International Truck and Engine Corp. recently named Terry Minor president, chief executive officer and dealer principal of Cumberland International Trucks, one of the largest resources for truck sales, leasing, parts and service support in Tennessee with three locations and more than 80 employees.

Minor has worked in the trucking industry for more than 14 years. For the past seven years, Minor worked for International starting as a manager of parts sales for the Southeast region. He then became manager of parts sales for the East Coast until he was promoted to national account manager for Ryder. Minor became the vice president of truck sales for the Southwest region in 2005.

“This is a tremendous career opportunity for Terry and one that we know will benefit both him and International,” says John Whitnell, vice president of dealer operations for Warrenville, Ill.-based International. “Over the past seven years, Terry has demonstrated strong leadership characteristics in several key roles with the company. He has a broad understanding of the truck business and how to serve the transportation needs of our mutual customers. In his current role as regional vice president, he has helped to grow International’s market share by building a strong sales team and developing the capabilities of our dealer channel in the Southwest. I look forward to working with Terry as a valued partner in the business.”
