American Central Transport recently unveiled a new 24,000-square-foot maintenance facility in Kansas City, Mo. The facility is designed to offer more convenience to the drivers who use the shop, and its operating hours — 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week — will allow tractors and trailers to be serviced almost around the clock.

“The state-of-the-art tools at this facility will offer better quality of service,” says Tom Kretsinger Jr., ACT president and chief operating officer. “Drivers will experience ease getting to and from the location, as well as superior service in faster time.”

The facility is located on eight acres and contains two express lanes, eight tractor bays, four trailer bays, an office, a truck wash and a loading ramp for reworking loads. Other perks include a waiting area for drivers to relax while their trucks are repaired; a fenced, secure lot; and creature comforts like radiant heating and plenty of light for mechanics.

“Thus far, 99 percent of comments have been positive,” Kretsinger says. “We are very excited to see all this facility has to offer come to life.”
