Decker Truck Line recently announced that JF Mayo was selected as the March 2007 Driver of the Month for the flatbed division. Mayo has been with Decker Truck Line for five years and resides in Hiawatha, Kan.
Selected as the March 2007 Driver of the Month for the reefer/van division was Dwight Elm, who has been with Fort Dodge, Iowa-based Decker for three years. Elm and his wife, Anna, reside in Coon Rapids, Iowa.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher and are selected based on their overall performance within all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, and customer service.
All drivers and owner-operators selected as a Driver of the Month for 2007 are eligible for 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
