FT Silfies Inc., a regional mid-Atlantic dry bulk carrier, has hired Gene Sostarecz as regional sales manager. “Gene joined Silfies last July 2006 as driver manager of our terminal in Nazareth, Pa., so he is no stranger to our company or our business,” says Jim Niness, executive vice president and chief operating officer.
“Gene has a strong sales and management foundation from nine years as director of golf services for Northampton Country Club and certainly has a great personality for this position,” Niness says. “We look forward to Gene making a large impact with our mid-sized client base and generating organic revenue from our existing customers, as well as the collect customers or end user of the product.”
