Horton Inc. — a global provider of fan drives, fans, suspension products and wire form products — recently appointed Joe Herzog as vice president of engineering for all Horton products. Herzog will be based at Horton’s headquarters in Roseville, Minn., reporting to Randall Nord, president and chief executive officer.

“Joe Herzog’s experience with engine design and development makes him a great asset for our company,” Nord says. “His understanding of our markets and his expertise in heavy-duty engines will help us serve the needs of our customers well into the future.”

Herzog comes to Horton from Polaris Industries, where he directed the design and development of Polaris engines and transmissions. Prior to that, he spent 20 years at Cummins Power Generation, where he held positions as a design and application engineer, engineering manager, engineering director and general manager. Herzog also worked for Deere & Co. as a design engineer for logging and construction equipment.
