Decker Truck Line recently announced that Dale Leman was selected as the April 2007 Driver of the Month for the company’s flatbed division. Leman has been with Decker Truck Line for seven years now, working mostly in the flatbed division, but also helping out in the reefer/van division. Leman and his wife, Lezlee, reside in West Bend, Iowa.
Stephen Abbott was named the April 2007 Driver of the Month for the Fort Dodge, Iowa-based company’s reefer/van division. Abbott and his wife, Debra, reside in Mabank, Texas, with their two children, Jessica and Christopher.
Drivers and owner-operators are nominated each month by their dispatcher. Selection is based on their overall performance in all areas of the company, including operational productivity, safety record, maintenance/care of equipment (including idle time), payroll and billing, and customer service. All drivers and owner-operators selected as Driver of the Month during 2007 are eligible for recognition as Decker’s 2007 Driver/Owner-Operator of the Year.
