CTL Transportation recently announced that James “Jim” Probst, a professional tractor technician based at the company’s terminal in East St. Louis, Ill., is the winner of the April 2007 Bull Dog Award. The award — which is presented to acknowledge an employee’s character, integrity and performance, or improvement in performance — is the most prestigious honor awarded to CTL employees.

Probst has been with Mulberry, Fla.-based CTL since September 2002, and during his time with the phosphate and fertilizer hauler, he has been a consummate professional. Probst is extremely reliable and always willing to help solve any maintenance mystery, says John Kays, technical manager. “Jim has always been the type of person that stays until the job is done, and done correctly,” Kays says.

Probst also services a fleet of customer-owned trailers where no two are alike. “Jim’s experience with our customer’s trailers is priceless,” Kays says. “He is able to diagnose and repair just about anything on every trailer in the fleet.”
