Michigan to boost truck patrols

user-gravatar Headshot

More Michigan State Police motor carrier patrol vehicles will be on the road this spring and summer. The state’s Special Transportation Enforcement Team focuses on safety belt use and speeding trucks. It also checks driver qualifications at weigh stations and rest areas and during mobile patrols.

Because more patrol vehicles will be on the road, the police are asking all drivers to use caution when approaching weigh stations and other enforcement operations, as trucks may be slowing and changing lanes. In addition, the presence of one patrol vehicle may indicate others are operating in the area.
