McLeod Software, a provider of dispatch and accounting fleet management software for the trucking industry, announced today, May 31, that it has been named the recipient of several awards. McLeod’s honors include four 2007 Communication Awards from the Transportation Sales & Marketing Association, and two 2007 Compass Awards from the Transportation Marketing & Communications Association.

Entitled, “Listen. Learn. In addition, on June 5 at the Transportation Marketing & Communications Association Annual Conference, McLeod will be presented with a TMCA Compass Award of Excellence. The TMCA Compass Awards program recognizes organizations in North American transportation and logistics that have created innovative, results-oriented marketing and communications programs.

This year, TMCA received a record-breaking 276 entries from more than 80 transportation-based organizations. About 8 percent of those entries received a Compass Award of Excellence, including McLeod in the Direct Mail Campaign category for its “Designed for the Cold” campaign to refrigerated carriers on LoadMaster Version 8.0. McLeod also received a Compass Award of Merit in the Special Events category for its User Conference materials.

“McLeod Software is honored to have received these prestigious awards,” says Caroline Lyle, director of marketing for Birmingham, Ala.-based McLeod. “We strive to be on the cutting edge in every area of our business, not just our software, so it is an honor to be recognized for our marketing efforts by these respected awards programs.”
