Atlantis Data Systems (ADS), a provider of Inmarsat communications for the trucking market in USA, and TrackWell Software, a provider of mobile resource management, announced a close partnership to bring Trackwell’s services to the US market and strengthening the operation of ADS with resources from Trackwell.

TrackWell will gain 50% ownership in ADS through capital infusion, resources and intellectual property rights. It has also been decided to operate ADS under the new name of Trackwell ADS to emphasize on the support and shared resources that TrackWell provides to the company as well as taking advantage of the recognition that TrackWell has in the global market place.

ADS has used software from TrackWell from the time it started to sell tracking and communication services in North America. Applications developed by ADS will now be incorporated into the software suite of Trackwell and the companies will jointly develop the products and service offering for the American market.

Product offering will range from basic tracking and messaging service to driver productivity, maintenance management, safety and compliance.

“ADS has been working with TrackWell for years and this new collaboration will give us increased strength and resources to even further enhance the transportation management solutions that the company is providing to customers” said Hal Einarsson, CEO of ADS.

ADS also recently launched its multimode communication system, combining high speed data transfer of the GPRS networks and global coverage of the Inmarsat satellite system that provides customers with economical and reliable platform to build for the future, the company says.
