Recognizing outstanding performance, Artisan recently honored its top contracted carriers as part of its annual Artisan Carrier Excellence Awards program. ACE winners are Artisan carriers that have continuously delivered quality on-time shipments and maintained accurate, on-time billing this past year. Artisan’s winning carriers were recognized at an awards ceremony in Dearborn, Mich.
As a non-asset based third-party logistics provider, Artisan contracts with more than 300 carriers to manage shipments for a number of specialized transportation needs, including construction equipment, machinery, racks, presses, dies, electronics, assembly lines, dunnage, robotics, lab equipment and fuel cells.
Artisan tabulates carrier performance through quarterly evaluations based on a point system, and recognizes the carriers with the highest performance rating in each shipment category as Carriers of the Year. Performance categories are broken into three areas for both specialized and container (rack) shipments, including carriers delivering 50-499 shipments, carriers delivering 500-1,499 shipments and carriers delivering more than 1,500 shipments.
