Knight opens Dallas brokerage center

Knight Transportation’s Knight Brokerage subsidiary has opened a brokerage service center in Dallas. Knight Brokerage, which was established in 2005, now operates seven brokerage centers nationwide. Knight Transportation also operates a dry van center in the Dallas market as part of its network of 26 dry van and four refrigerated service centers.

Nathan Meisgeier, president of Omaha, Nebraska-based Werner Enterprises, said his carrier is committing to hire 1,400 veterans over the coming year as part of the Freedom Haulers initiative.
