Diesel price climbs 3 cents

The national average retail price of a gallon of diesel rose 3 cents to $2.835 during the week ending Monday, June 25, compared to $2.805 during the previous week. The total was about 3 cents lower than the same week last year, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.

Diesel prices increased in all regions tracked by DOE. Drivers on the West Coast once again paid the most of any region at $2.985, up almost 3 cents from the prior week. The Gulf Coast had the least expensive diesel at $2.780, roughly 3 weeks higher than last week at $2.753.
