Isuzu recently showed off its new N- and F-Series, low-cab-forward truck. N-Series enhancements for 2008 are focused on increasing driver comfort and safety, with a new cab-mounting system said to deliver a smoother ride. The cab itself is larger and more spacious, with more side-to-side and front-to-back room, providing more seat travel on both standard and crew-cab models.
New F-Series trucks offer a number of enhancements related to Allison transmissions. The Extended Service Coverage on Allison 2200 HS and the 2500 HS transmissions increases to four years with unlimited miles; previously, the service coverage was for three years. Both transmissions are now 6-speed with a second overdrive ratio to improve driveability and fuel economy.
The N- and F-Series will be sold under the Isuzu, Chevy and GMC nameplates.
