Networkcar, a provider of wireless vehicle management, announced today, July 9, that it has integrated the ProMiles FuelTaxOnline fuel tax reporting system into its Networkfleet wireless vehicle management system. Networkfleet transmits GPS location and engine odometer readings to ProMiles for each fleet vehicle; fleet managers log in to the ProMiles Fleet Portal to view miles driven in each state and automatically generate fuel tax reports, saving man-hours and improving accuracy, the companies say.

Offered to Networkfleet customers as a new feature, the fuel tax reporting service is intended to provide fleet managers the ability to automate all tax calculations, including state mile calculations and fuel purchase information from fuel cards. The service requires little or no driver input and saves time and money by eliminating the need for manual data entry, the companies say; it also complies with state and federal tax regulations, thus reducing the risk of regulation violations.

“ProMiles is the industry leader in automated fuel tax reporting,” says Casey Littleton, business development manager for San Diego-based Networkcar. “By integrating with ProMiles, we are continuing our commitment to give our customers the best solution available to improve the efficiency of their operations.”

“Fleet managers are always looking for ways to reduce operating costs,” says Mike Webb, ProMiles vice president of government affairs and reseller relations. “ProMiles automated fuel tax reporting, combined with the services of Networkfleet, gives them the benefits of location tracking, engine diagnostics and fuel tax reporting.”
