Greatwide Logistics Services – a provider of non-asset-based transportation and third-party logistics – announced Wednesday, July 25, that Jamie Pierson has joined the organization’s corporate staff as vice president of corporate development and integration.
The company says Pierson will apply his broad experience in strategic planning, capital development, mergers and acquisitions, and business restructuring to facilitating the efficient and effective alignment of various completed and planned business acquisitions across the Greatwide organization.
“Jamie adds an additional layer of depth to Greatwide’s ability to identify, pursue, negotiate, close and integrate a full range of enterprises throughout the transportation and logistics supply chain, enabling us to accelerate the accomplishment of our strategic goals,” says Dick Metzler, chief commercial officer at Dallas-based Greatwide. “What makes Jamie a particularly powerful addition to our team is his ability to contribute to both our process of evaluating acquisition targets and integrating these additions into a tightly woven, end-to-end 3PL solution.”
Prior to joining Greatwide, Pierson held strategic positions at investment banking firms FTI Capital Advisors, Stonegate Securities and Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin. Pierson has earned the Series 7, 63 and 24 certifications from the National Association of Securities Dealers and has been a frequent presenter and lecturer on business valuation, financial risk and the disposition of both healthy and distressed businesses.
