Wolfgang Winzer has joined Webb Wheel Products as the new president of the company’s aftermarket business unit. In his new capacity, Winzer is expected to draw on his past experience in organizing and managing an international automotive aftermarket company, which will help him build on Webb’s reputation as a leading supplier of wheel-end components to the heavy-duty aftermarket.
Winzer comes to Webb Wheel from Siemens VDO Automotive Corp., North America, where he most recently held the position of vice president and general manager of the company’s public transport telematics business unit. During Winzer’s tenure with Siemens, his major achievements came as vice president and general manager of automotive and specialty OEM business, where he improved profitability substantially and organized the business as a standalone entity focused on retailers, WD and major spec OEM. He helped broaden the company’s product line and worked with customers to expand product categories that would meet the demands of its demographic base.
Webb Wheel Products, headquartered in Cullman, Ala., is a Marmon Highway Technologies company that manufactures hubs, brake drums and rotors for medium- and heavy-duty trucks, trailers and buses.
