Foss National Leasing recently announced that it has chosen Wright Express Corp. to bring its cobranded fuel card to the Canadian fleet marketplace, making Foss the first leasing company in Canada to form a cobrand relationship with Wright Express. Wright Express is a provider of payment processing and information management services to the North American commercial and government fleet industry.

Foss National Leasing, a Canadian fleet management specialist, says it selected the Wright Express card because it recognizes the opportunities that a proprietary, closed network fleet card can provide for its customers. The system is designed to capture information including the date, time and amount of the expenditure, station location, brand, identification of the driver and vehicle, odometer reading and type of fuel purchased.

“The market has been asking for this type of product for many years,” says Jeff Hartley, president of Foss National Leasing. “We are very pleased to take a leadership position to introduce this premium technology into the Canadian marketplace.”

“Fleet cards with built-in control and reporting capabilities like the Wright Express/Foss Premium Card empower fleet managers with relevant information to better manage their fleets and control over the-road expenses,” says David Maxsimic, senior vice president of sales and marketing at South Portland, Maine-based Wright Express. “This real-time data can be compiled to provide customized reporting and on-demand Web-based vehicle monitoring capabilities to track costs and manage fleet operations, adding a new dimension to the service Foss provides for its customers.”
